We had a GREAT time at this year’s California Bluegrass Association Father’s Day Festival. Seems like our new CD, Depending on the Glass, is off to a great start….I mean, having the opportunity to have our CD “hit the streets” while playing a huge festival that we grew up going to?! We are just pleased as punch!
We also want to thank everyone for coming out to our set. It means a lot to look out and see all of your smiling faces in that big crowd. AND how about that Del Williams Band??!! eh? It was such a treat to be able to sit back and enjoy their set. They are amazing and one of our favorite bands.
For everyone that wasn’t able to make it to the first release show, have no fear, there is much, MUCH more to come!! We have quite a few release dates coming up and many more in the works, and if all else fails, you can always pick yourself up a copy right here on-line. Ahhh, the internet is grand, friends!
Have a great day folks, and we will talk to you soon!
Ever wonder what “Chick-Grass” is? Maybe you are curious as to who produced our new album or what Ed Neff does when he is not recording. Now all (well, some) of your questions can be answered in a short movie about the making of our debut album. We hope that you join us in watching the video below.
Hey, we’re coming up on our CD release … and boy, are we excited!!
Growing up, Angela and I spent many a’ summer being entertained by the standing water in the ever-so-delightful Nevada County Fairgrounds’ resident pond, running away with the cloggers and barely escaping death in the Fairgrounds’ alluring-to-the-under-10-crowd “ditch” every father’s day. So, when it came time to figure out where we would hold our official CD Release party, we knew immediately the California Bluegrass Association’s Father’s Day festival was just the place for this exciting event!
RBB will be performing a short set of some of our songs from the new album, “Depending on the Glass” , Saturday evening at 5:50pm on the Vern’s stage (get there early, friends!). Have you heard of the Vern’s stage yet? This is a new stage at the Father’s Day festival that is honoring Vern Williams’ memory by “representing and moving forward the definition of California Bluegrass as Vern Williams did in his time.” Hey, that’s right up our alley!!
Adding to the recipe for a rockin’ CD release, we will be followed by one of bluegrass’s finest traditional singers today, Del Williams, and his new band. And this will be one of their first appearances. Uhhh….can you say, “entertainment”?!
We really hope that you can come join us, as 2 generations of the Williams family will come together to validate “Vern’s”, and that you might consider picking up your very own copy of our new CD “Depending on the Glass”, this coming weekend.
Yesterday we were able to make a quick appearance on KVMR’s Saturday morning Bluegrass show hosted by the one and only Eric Rice. (Thanks, Eric!)
This was the first time we heard our music out on the airwaves. Boy, it’s quite a weird feeling to hear your own music being played right along side of some of your heroes! Exciting.
Looks like next week Eric Rice will make his way out the California Bluegrass Association’s Father’s Day Festival and broadcast live from the fairgrounds. This is great! No matter where you are, you can tune into KVMR on-line and hear some of the great music being played there next weekend!
Let us be the first to welcome you to the new RoseBud Blue website. Here at the RBB headquarters, the elves have been extremely busy and we have some GREAT news!!
